Hull is in Full Bloom!

The Friends of the Paragon Carousel have scheduled their annual Secret Garden Tour for

Sunday, June 24, from 11 am until 3 pm—rain or shine. Twelve Hull gardens have been selected

to be included on this year’s tour. Although the gardens remain “secret” until maps are available

the day of the tour, event chair Robin Coyne, Hull, promises that each garden is spectacular. To add to the ambiance of the tour, South Shore artists will also be working in each of the gardens.

 

The day of the event, ticket holders will pick up the tour brochure at the curb of Paragon

Carousel. The brochure will reveal the 12 secret gardens and includes a detailed narrative of each

garden as well as a map. Gardens on the tour will also be marked with colorful flags.

The Secret Garden Tour makes a delightful bike tour. Riders can start this scenic self-guided

tour at the historic Paragon Carousel. As you pedal your way along Hull’s beautiful peninsula,

you will explore gardens located directly on the water, gardens that offer magnificent views and

hidden gardens tucked into Hull’s unique neighborhoods.

 

Tickets for the tour are $20 per person, if purchased by June 18. After June 18, tickets will

increase to $30.00 per person so be sure to buy your tickets early this year. Last year this event

Hull Hero!

Board Member and long-time Paragon Carousel champion, Judeth Van Hamm, was honored tonight with a HULL HERO award from the town of Hull. Judeth is pictured here with fellow award recipients as Massachusetts State Representative Garrett Bradley (at podium) prepares to award each recipient with a proclamation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Derby Day at the Carousel

Derby Day is just around the corner and it's shaping up to be the best event ever! You still have time to sponsor a horse (individual, business, or family) for only $100--this includes two tickets to the event.

When you sponsor a horse you get the chance to dress your antique jumper in a costume! Get creative and have fun! We will be open on Thursday night, May 3, until 8 pm as well as all day on Friday for you to get into the carousel and customize your horse.

You can also take out an ad in our 'racing book' and contribute to our raffles and race prizes.

Race prized and raffles are also pouring in--we have Red Sox tickets, a two-night stay at the Nantasket Beach Resort, great restaurant gift certificates and lots more! 

Event tickets are just $20 and include six races, wonderful food from Barefoot Bob's, the Red Parrot and other great restaurants, a cash bar with the best Mint Juleps north of Louisville, a Derby Hat contest with a prize, and lots of raffle prizes to take a chance on.

The fun starts on May 4, at 7pm. Tickets are on sale this weekend at the Paragon Carousel.

This beautiful Carousel jumper's restoration was just completed. He will be installed back on his place on the Paragon Carousel in the coming weeks and will be ready for riding in April!

Another Carousel horse is now in the Restoration Studio.
